About London String School

Welcome to London String School, a specialist music school for adult learning located in London, England. We were established in 2008, became 'London Violin Studio' in 2010, and 'ViolinSchool London' in 2012.

In 2023, we became London String School, and we now focus exclusively on adult learners of violin, viola, cello and double bass. In addition to private lessons, groups and ensembles, we also offer group tuition courses for violinists.

We offer a warm welcome to both local and international students, of all levels - from first-time beginner to advanced player. Our classes, courses, and events are held throughout the year at various venues in Central London, and our courses take place at our studio in London Piccadilly (Whitcomb Street, WC2H).

If you're looking for personalised instruction, one to one lessons are also available with our experienced tutors, including our lead tutor David Worswick (former 1st violinist of the London Symphony Orchestra).

Our academic year consists of three 10-week terms, starting in September, January, and April. We offer comprehensive courses during these terms, and lessons are available year-round. Additionally, we organise special Summer programs, including 'Intensives' and other exciting events.
