Join us for a series of immersive ensemble sessions and experience the joy of collaborative music making!

Term Dates - Autumn 2023

Ensemble Sessions run on the following Saturdays:

September 23rd, 30th
October 7th, 14th, 21st
Half Term - Saturday 28th October (no session)
November 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
December 2nd (Concert Day!)

Introduction
A 10-week program featuring an expansive array of exhilarating repertoire - we’ll develop our musical interpretations together and hone our violinistic, musical and group-playing skills.

The Autumn Sessions will culminate in a concert on Saturday 2nd December. Invite your friends and family to share in the joy of the performance. 

Repertoire for Autumn 2023

Embrace a diverse repertoire that will challenge and inspire you, whilst helping you to develop your collaborative music making skills.

The music will include a wide selection of pieces in a variety of different styles and genres, from the Baroque to the Modern!

This term’s repertoire will include:

Tchaikovsky - Barcarolle - June from The Seasons
Bach - Double Violin Concerto - Largo ma non tanto
Foster - Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair
Purcell - Golden Sonata - No. 9 in F major, Z. 810

Who is This Ensemble For?

This Ensemble is designed for adult learners who have already reached a standard equivalent to Grades 5 or above.

All the music has Violin 1 and Violin 2 parts … choose the one that’s right for you!

Course Instructor

The London Violin Ensemble is led by David Worswick, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and a former first violinist of the London Symphony Orchestra.

David has years of experience both as a teacher and performer. He has given concerts throughout the world, made award-winning recordings, premiered hundreds of new works, and created a wealth of resources for violin learners.

He is a kind, caring teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to help you succeed!
